As Ghana advances its transition toward a circular economy, the European Union and its member states continue to play a pivotal role in supporting projects that reduce waste, promote sustainable consumption, and build green value chains. To recognize these contributions and chart new pathways forward, AHK Ghana is convening a Circular Economy Roundtable that showcases real-world impact while fostering dialogue across five priority themes.
This full-day, in-person event brings together policymakers, EU embassies, development agencies, local innovators, and private sector actors to engage in structured discussions on policy, financing, plastic waste, textile waste, and e-waste. Each thematic session will include a 30-minute presentation of a relevant EU-funded, or EU member state funded or -partnered project, followed by a 30-minute panel discussion.
In addition to the discussions, a dedicated Visual Showcase Corner will provide attendees with a curated view of EU-backed and EU member state backed circular economy interventions across Ghana.
Objectives
- Showcase ongoing EU and EU member state initiatives contributing to Ghana’s circular economy transition.
- Enable high-level dialogue on policy alignment, regulatory gaps, and financing tools.
- Strengthen practical collaboration between government, donors, and private sector actors.
- Highlight opportunities for scaling and replication of circular economy projects in Ghana.
